Program Outcomes
The following are student learning outcomes for the Advanced Technical Certificate in Welding and Metals Fabrication at CWI:
- The student will produce welds to the AWS QC 10-2004 Level I Entry Level Welders Qualification Competencies.
- The student will demonstrate a good understanding of the underpinning knowledge of welding and welding processes.
- The student will interpret steel fabrication blueprints.
- The student will demonstrate safe shop practices.
- The student will produce advanced level welds to the AWS D1.1 standard (2G and 5G, 3G and 4G or 6G) each semester.
- The student will successfully apply template and pattern developments using AutoCAD.
- The student will demonstrate sound planning techniques during the production of agreed student centered projects.
- The student will demonstrate proficiency in the use of shop fabrication equipment.
