Program Description

The study of criminal behavior and law enforcement is more sophisticated than ever before—and at the College of Western Idaho, we are preparing many students to transfer to an upper-division criminal justice program or to start a career in this exciting field. In our Criminal Justice program, you will discover and appreciate complex issues in legal studies, sociology, political science, psychology, arrest, and search and seizure. Our goal is to prepare you to pursue a career in local, state, and federal law enforcement; court administration; victim services; and corrections.

Completion of the program results in an associate of arts degree and meets the general-education requirements at all Idaho public universities. Course selection should be coordinated to meet requirements for your intended transfer institution (if known).
